Eligible Projects

Projects eligible for Canada Community-Building funding under this category are those that result in the construction, material enhancement or renewal of amateur sport infrastructure.

Amateur sport infrastructure

Amateur sport infrastructure excludes facilities that are home to professional sports teams or major junior hockey teams.

Examples

Eligible projects under this category include (but are not limited to):

  • Designing and constructing squash courts;
  • Replacing turf on a soccer pitch;
  • Installing bleachers surrounding a baseball diamond; and
  • Renovating an arena used by a Junior A hockey team.
