Arnprior’s Watermain River Crossing Replacement

The Town of Arnprior has invested CCBF funding in local water infrastructure.

The Town installed a 300 mm HDPE pipe to replace a failing watermain that runs under the Madawaska River. The new pipe was floated into position and lowered into the riverbed, where it was secured in place with concrete ballast blocks and rock anchors.

The old pipe was aging and had broken several times in the last few years. With the installation of the new, larger capacity pipe, Arnprior’s residents now have a more reliable local water system.
