Grimsby’s Action To Protect Lake Ontario Shoreline

Shoreline protection on Lake Ontario in the Town of Grimsby has been eroding due to waves and high water levels.

The municipality is investing CCBF funding in the installation of a revetment – a sloping structure made of armour stone and designed to absorb the energy of incoming water.

This work will help prevent the loss of municipal infrastructure such as road, water and sanitary services on 10th, 11th and 12th Streets.
