Improvements at Hearst’s Gilles Gagnon Welcome Centre

The Gilles Gagnon Welcome Centre in the Town of Hearst has a new roof thanks in part to the Canada Community-Building Fund.

In a typical year, the Centre provides more than 7,000 tourists and hundreds of residents with information on the many activities and services available in the Hearst area.

The building is known for its unique roof shaped like a conifer tree with a front wall designed as a saw cutting into the building – paying homage to the primary industry of the region.
