Much-needed upgrades completed at Town of Smooth Rock Falls’ outdoor pool complex

Visitors to Smooth Rock Falls’ outdoor pool complex and Liz McCafferty playground park and splash pad now have access to improved washroom and shower facilities.

The Town invested just over $130,000 from the Canada Community-Building Fund into installation of a new communal washroom at the outdoor pool building, along with a new outdoor shower with a non-slip surface.

Previously, visitors to the Liz McCafferty Park and splash pad couldn’t access the washroom facilities outside of pool operating hours because the washroom wasn’t accessible from the exterior of the building.

Now, swimmers have access to the new shower during pool hours, and patrons visiting the adjoining park and splash pad have use of the communal washroom facilities throughout the day.
