Roadways and Sidewalks Improved for Residents in Lanark Highlands

Two local roads projects in Lanark Highlands have improved travel for the Township's residents.

Sidewalks were improved on several of the Township's main streets and roadways in 2022 (including McDonald's Corners, North Street, Mill Road, Owen Street and South Street) in accordance with the Township's sidewalk maintenance plan. The improvements were completed to boost active transportation routes within the Township.

Two main roadways were also resurfaced. The Township resurfaced 1.6 km of Dalhousie Concession 5B and 2.7 km of Lavant Mill Road. These two roads connect to many private laneways where residents live, and are the only winter-maintained roads that lead to the private laneways.
